The Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Pedralbes is a set of monuments of Gothic style placed in the heights of Barcelona. It was founded in 1326 by Queen Elisenda de Montcada, third wife of James II at the site of Petras Albas (White stones). The church has central ship, apse polygonal and prominent rosettes. The chapel of Sant Miquel was painted by Ferrer Bassa in the year 1343, following the models of the early Italian masters.
