The convent of the Trinitarians was begun in the seventeenth century. Somewhere in this convent was buried the body of Cervantes in 1616, no one knows the exact location of the convent where he is buried. There is no headstone to tell us the location of his grave. On the facade of the Convent is a plaque commemorating Cervantes.
