The tomb of Christopher Columbus, is the work of Arturo Mélida, is located on the right arm of the transept, there lie the remains of the famous discoverer of America.

The tomb consists of four kings of arms gowns shoulder carrying the coffin of Columbus. Correspond to the four historical kingdoms of Spain: Castile, Leon, Aragon and Navarra "in desserts trip that come before the high altar of the Cathedral of Havana to give the bones to rest until then pilgrimage. The symbolic meaning that the author wanted to give was to represent "Spain on American soil keeping the ashes of Christopher Columbus", Spain is represented by four heralds and America by the Aztec-style basement.
